My name is Aneet and I am a Qualified Accredited Counsellor and since 2004 I have worked in the area of Psychology, Counselling and Mental Health with experience ranging from Head Injuries, Cancer, Learning Difficulties, NHS Mental Health, working with Young People, individuals from a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic background, Life threatening illnesses and Bereavement.
I currently work as a Counsellor both in private practice and schools.
I have experience and skills in different Counselling modalities; however I focus on Person-Centred and Psychodynamic approaches, but do occasionally use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I tend to work with the individual’s need and will draw on a variety of Counselling modalities to better meet the needs of the client.
What does counselling offer?
I offer a non-judgemental, confidential and supportive space for you to explore some of the difficulties you may be experiencing and adhere to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Framework.
Perhaps you are feeling anxious or stressed? Maybe you are struggling with your relationship? Or maybe you need to be heard and listened to? Counselling is a journey and our work together will be an opportunity for your story to be heard. Being heard can often enable us to find ways to move forward from some of the difficulties we are experiencing.
Counselling and Self-Development
Counselling can offer an opportunity for personal growth and development through exploring aspects of ourselves which can bring learning and a better understanding of who we are.
It can enable you to think about how you want to move forward in your life, maybe you want to know more about yourself? Perhaps you want to achieve something but there are barriers getting in the way?
